For Bangladesh, Ripon Mondol shone again with the ball, picking up three wickets, along with Rakibul Hasan’s two wickets and one wicket each from SM Meherob, Jishan Alam, and Abdul Gaffar Saqlain.
In reply, Bangladesh A’s innings never took off. At one point, it looked like the Shaheens would win the match easily. However, the last three batters of Bangladesh A — Rakibul, Abdul Gaffar Saqlain and Ripon Mondol — showed great fight as they scored 24, unbeaten 16, and unbeaten 11 respectively. Their late fight pushed the match into the Super Over. For the Shaheens, Sufiyan Muqeem took three wickets, while Daniyal and Arafat Minhas picked up two wickets each.
Ahmed Daniyal then conceded just six runs in the Super Over, which the Shaheens chased down comfortably to lift the ACC Men’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025 title. Pakistan Shaheens’ opener Maaz Sadaqat won the Player of the Tournament award. He finished as the highest run-getter in the tournament, scoring 258 runs in five innings at an average of 129.00.
