Wankhede Stadium Makes Special Plans for Sachin@50

On Monday, April 24, the legendary Sachin Tendulkar, the Master Blaster, will turn 50 years old, marking a significant milestone for Mumbai Indians’ most iconic player. During the match between Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings at Wankhede Stadium on April 22, fans in attendance as well as those watching from home will be treated to celebrations in honour of the world’s most loved cricketer.

For those attending the game, surprises are in store, as a series of exciting activities and contests will take place to celebrate Sachin. This special day is not only about the maestro, but also the fans who have followed him on this extraordinary journey.

Sachin made the number 10 jersey iconic in cricket, and this year marks ten years since his last match for India, which also took place at Wankhede Stadium. The famous “Sachinnn, Sachinnn” chant that echoes around Wankhede Stadium and other cricket grounds whenever Mumbai Indians and India are in action will undoubtedly be extra loud on Saturday, with Sachin in the dugout once again. Over 30,000 spectators and as many Tendulkar face masks will be present at the stadium, making it a visual spectacle.

A special Tendulkar installation can also be seen outside the Garware pavilion, where fans can take selfies and create a lasting memory of this historic day. Get ready for the Wankhede Stadium to reverberate with “Sachin-Sachin” chants once again.
