The Indian women’s cricket team are set to get Nicholas Lee as their new strength and conditioning coach. A source close to the developments has confirmed to RevSportz that Lee is expected to take over the role after the upcoming Women’s Premier League (WPL). The fourth season of the WPL is scheduled to be held from January 9 to February 5, 2026.
The Women in Blue enjoyed a memorable 2025, highlighted by their maiden ICC Women’s ODI World Cup triumph. The year ended on a dominant note as India completed a comprehensive 5-0 clean sweep of Sri Lanka in a home T20I series. Their next major challenge is an overseas tour of Australia.
Following the conclusion of the WPL Season 4, India Women will travel to Australia for a multi-format series comprising three T20Is, three ODIs, and a day-night Test. The tour is scheduled to take place from February 15 to March 9, 2026. If the appointment goes as expected, the tour is likely to be Lee’s first assignment with the Indian women’s side.
