Lisa Keightley has been appointed head coach of MI London’s women’s team. Former West Indies captain Kieron Pollard will serve as head coach of their men’s team for the 2026 season. Keightley brings strong leadership qualities, having previously led England Women, and has coaching experience in the Women’s Big Bash League and the WPL. Pollard is regarded as one of the legends of T20 cricket. The former West Indies all-rounder played 733 matches, scoring 14,462 runs at an average of 31.71, and has experience coaching the England team at the ICC T20 World Cup in 2024.
Keightley expressed her happiness about her new role, saying: “I’m delighted to join MI London’s women’s team for the 2026 season. Having witnessed the team’s past success and now stepping into this role, I’m really looking forward to the journey ahead and to a new challenge after winning The Hundred last season. The Kia Oval is a brilliant place to play and gives me a unique chance to combine Surrey’s rich cricketing heritage with the global winning culture of the MI family. My focus at MI London will be to bring the trophy home and build a high-performance environment where players can thrive, play fearless cricket and continue to win.”
Pollard also shared his excitement about his new appointment, saying: “I am honoured to take on the role of head coach with MI London. Having played in The Hundred and for Surrey, I’ve seen first-hand the strong alignment between Surrey’s cricketing culture and the Mumbai Indians’ winning ethos. This is an exciting opportunity to build a strong team, create a high-performance culture and work towards sustained success in the seasons ahead.”
