We are 50 days away from the Tata Steel Trailblazers Conclave 4.0. It is the best sports conclave in the country at the moment, and this year promises to be no different. In fact, it will grow further in both scale and scope, with 30-plus athletes and a host of sports administrators making Kolkata their home between 14 and 17 March, 2026.
Revsportz Trailblazers Conclave 2.0 had just concluded on March 8, 2024, and each one of us had begun to celebrate. For five months, we had worked to bring India’s best Olympic and Paralympic athletes under one roof, creating meaningful dialogue that could enrich the sports ecosystem. The ambition was to make a difference in an Olympic and Paralympic year. With 30 of our finest athletes taking part in the two-day conclave, Mission Impossible had just been accomplished.

That’s when Manasi Joshi, the Paralympic badminton star, walked up to speak to me. “We keep hearing about equal treatment, but then you hear one thing and see something entirely different,” she said. “At this conclave, every second session featured a Paralympic athlete sharing his or her experiences alongside able-bodied men and women. You had Neeraj Chopra and you also had Sumit Antil. That’s what stood out for all of us.”

The conclave was meant to be a disruption. It has been, and it will continue to be. But most importantly, the conclave is about stories. Sport has always lent itself to great storytelling, and each of the athletes coming here is a story in themselves.
While we will continue to share details of the sessions over the next month, let me highlight one key session that lends itself to exceptional storytelling. The year 2026 marks the 25th anniversary of the famous India v Australia Test match at Eden Gardens — to many, the greatest Test match in the history of the game. The match ended on 15 March 2001, and it is fitting that the conclave, on March 16, 2026 — exactly 25 years later — looks back at this extraordinary contest with some of the key architects of India’s historic victory.

Between 6 and 7 pm on March 16, we will be joined by skipper Sourav Ganguly, Player of the Series Harbhajan Singh, and India’s pace-bowling spearhead Zaheer Khan, for what promises to be a stellar session of storytelling.
Watch this space for more details over the next few days. Today, we launch the campaign with 50 days to go, with a special show shot at the Shapoorji Pallonji Joyville facility in Howrah. Revsportz YT, 10 am.
