Seasoned pacer Haris Rauf and Mohammad Rizwan have been left out of Pakistan’s 15-member squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) unveiled the squad in Lahore on Sunday, amid uncertainty regarding their exclusion.
With 133 wickets in 94 matches at an economy rate of 8.38, Rauf is Pakistan’s most successful pacer in T20Is and ranks ninth on the list of highest wicket-takers in T20I history. The right-arm pacer has been omitted from the squad despite being in excellent form with the ball in the Big Bash League.
Former captain Mohammad Rizwan has also been overlooked, with Usman Khan and Khawaja Mohammad Nafay selected as the squad’s wicket-keeper batters.
Shaheen Shah Afridi, Mohammad Salman Mirza and Naseem Shah form the pace trio. Mohammad Nawaz, Shadab Khan, Usman Tariq and Abrar Ahmed are the specialist spinners in the squad.
