James Neesham and Lockie Ferguson have joined the New Zealand squad for the final two T20Is of the five-match series. Both players joined the team in Vizag ahead of the fourth T20I.
With Neesham and Ferguson joining the squad, Tim Robinson and Kristian Clarke have been released and will fly back home.
Both Robinson and Clarke played the series opener in Nagpur, after which they were replaced by Matt Henry and Tim Seifert in New Zealand’s playing XI for the second T20I, which was played in Raipur. They also did not feature in the third T20I.
In addition, Finn Allen, another World Cup-bound player, will join the squad prior to the start of the fifth T20I in Trivandrum.
