Following Ireland’s series loss against India on August 23rd in Malahide, Dublin, captain Paul Stirling emphasized the importance of seizing crucial moments in a match. Speaking in the aftermath of the series, Stirling acknowledged the Indian team’s strong cricketing display. He commented on the unfortunate conclusion of the third T20I match, which was called off due to steady drizzle – India winning on the basis of DLS.

“I think just the periods of good cricket. Good patches of it. A lot of positives but it’s about finishing those games on. It is brilliant to have India up here. Talented cricketers and India always give quality cricket.

“It would have been great to get a game today and give a few fresh faces a chance. We will continue to work hard in the journey to T20 World Cup. It’s a build-up of around 10 months,” he noted.
