Uncertainty looms over the availability of Salman Agha for Pakistan’s upcoming Asia Cup Super Four match against Sri Lanka. He sustained an injury during the Pakistan-India clash.
In addition to Salman, there are concerns regarding the fitness of Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah, casting doubts on their participation in the crunch game on Thursday (September 14). Pakistan must beat Sri Lanka to ensure a berth in the final.
Salman took a blow on the face when he top-edged a sweep off Ravindra Jadeja. After the match, he was taken to hospital. Sources indicate that Salman remains uncertain, potentially paving the way for Saud Shakeel to take his place in the XI.
Pakistan are already a worried lot, after Rauf and Naseem suffered niggles during the heavy defeat against India. The team management has sought back-ups for the two, but not ruled them out.
