In anticipation of the highly-awaited ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final between India and Australia, former England captain Nasser Hussain has unveiled his selection for a combined Test XI.
Hussain has carefully chosen players from both teams to form a formidable line-up. Notably, he has entrusted Rohit Sharma with the captaincy, favouring him over Pat Cummins. Hussain’s team selection involved some notable omissions, with prominent names like Ravindra Jadeja and Nathan Lyon missing out. Instead, he opted for Ravichandran Ashwin as the sole specialist spinner in the side.
The final showdown of Test cricket’s pinnacle contest will take place at The Oval in London, starting from June 7, as India and Australia vie for the ultimate prize.
