AIFF President Engages in Productive Dialogue with Indian Senior Men’s and Women’s Football Teams

All India Football Federation President Shri Kalyan Chaubey recently engaged in an informal discussion with several players from the Indian senior men’s and women’s teams during an event in the capital. They covered topics such as the National Teams’ performance, player needs, injury management, scouting processes, smooth player transitions from youth to senior levels, and the overall future of Indian football.

Attending the meeting from the Indian senior men’s team were Sandesh Jhingan, Amrinder Singh, Jay Gupta, and Amey Ranawade, while the Indian senior women’s team was represented by Loitongbam Ashalata Devi, Dalima Chhibber, Shreya Hooda, Anju Tamang, and Sanju.

Sandesh Jhingan commented on the interaction, saying, “It was a pleasure to meet the AIFF President. We had a wonderful and productive discussion with him. Having players from both the senior men’s and women’s teams present created a great atmosphere for exchanging ideas. We had many meaningful conversations about the national teams and the way forward, especially with our Asian Cup qualifying campaign starting soon. The dialogue was insightful, and we all valued the open exchange of ideas regarding the current state and future of Indian football.”

Dalima Chhibber remarked, “For many of us, this was the first time we had the chance to sit with the Federation President and discuss women’s football, as well as general football issues and areas for improving the national team.”

She continued, “It was great that the AIFF President initiated this dialogue and allowed players to voice their opinions. He took the time to listen and consider our views. We had a very constructive discussion about the future, and he took note of our main points. It was valuable for us to have this opportunity to express our thoughts.”

Shri Kalyan Chaubey expressed his gratitude to the players for their valuable input and assured them of the Federation’s full support. During the interaction, the AIFF President listened attentively to the National Team members and emphasized that he is always open to sharing experiences with the players, inviting them to meet him anytime in the future whenever there is a need.
