AIFF Strategic Roadmap 2047

We went to Northeastern states such as Manipur, Nagaland, states such as Jharkhand and Gujarat.

11 core topics to be focussed in the roadmap. We have made short term and long term targets.

Where in 2047
– Among top 4 in Asia.
– Top 3 football leagues across genders.
– One iconic player with international stardom from both men’s and women’s football.

Development of a National football philosophy which will be data driven.

It will guide the coaching curriculum and the way how football is played in India.

– Governance
-Refereeing

– Introduction of a business unit and it will be an integral part of the governance of AIFF.
– More focus on state associations as they have been neglected before.

Women’s Football
– Separate Department for women in
AIFF.
-Fixed minimum wage for Women’s players.
-Incentives for women’s football officials.
-Improvement in women’s club structure.

Infrastructure project
– 2 FIFA standard stadiums by 2026
– one smart stadium
– Completion of AIFF Center of Excellence in Kolkata.
-Mega Football Park on terms of European football parks.

Clubs
– By 2026, Top division clubs should have a youth team and residential program.
– 20,000 clubs by 2047 in the competitive structure.
– 100 professional club in top league structure in 2047.
– Standalone women’s clubs by 2047

Grassroots
-Launch of a flagship grassroots project by 2026.
-Tribal grassroots initiative in 10 districts.
– 1 million registered players by 2026.
– Train school teachers.
– Have a robust structure from village to National level by 2047.

Talent Identification
– Data driven AIFF scouting for youth players.
-5000 licensed scouts in India
– 100 teams in elite youth leagues across age groups.

Competitions
-Rebrand and Revive Santosh Trophy.
– Decentralise and empower states.
-Launch of National Football Games.
-Focus on E Football, Futsal and Beach Soccer and their leagues.
-Revival of Hero Gold Cup and intercontinental cup.
– Focus on Hero Super cup and expansion.

– 5 level pyramid structure from City level to national level.
– 700 developmental clubs
– 40 Professional Clubs
Women’s-
– 4 level league pyramid.
-20 professional team
– 2 states can combine to host state league.

National Teams (Men’s)
– Top 10 in Asia by 2026 and Top 7 by 2036

-Qualification for both U17 World Cups by 2026.

Commerce
-Increase AIFF revenue by 500% by 2026
– Launch of three television properties by 2026 to increase the revenue.
