
Kuldeep Yadav turned the game in India’s favour with a brilliant spell that ripped through Pakistan’s middle–order in the Asia Cup clash in Dubai. He took three wickets, conceding just 18 runs in his four overs. His bowling helped India restrict Pakistan to 127/9.
Kuldeep took his first wicket in the ninth over,when Hasan Nawaz edged a turning ball to Axar Patel at leg gully. After that, he trapped Mohammad Nawaz lbw with a googly that skidded on the pads. His third wicket was the biggest, as Pakistan’s top scorer Sahibzada Farhan tried to hit over long-on but mistimed, and Hardik Pandya took a brilliant catch.
Pakistan struggled throughout and they could never forge a stable partnership. Farhan scored40 and Shaheen Shah Afridi added another 33runs, but rest of the team fell cheaply.
India’s bowlers worked together brilliantly. Jasprit Bumrah and Axar Patel took two wickets each. Varun Chakravarthy and Hardik Pandya got one apiece.
In Group A, India and Pakistan won their first matches. Currently, India are at the top with an NRR of +10.483. Pakistan are just behind with +4.650.
