Cricket South Africa (CSA) has named full-strength T20I and ODI squads for next month’s white-ball tour of Australia. Aiden Markram, Temba Bavuma, Kagiso Rabada, and Tristan Stubbs are all set to play for the first time since the World Test Championship final at Lord’s.

Off-spinner Prenelan Subrayen, fresh off his Test debut against Zimbabwe, has received his maiden call-up to both limited-overs squads. Lhuan-dre Pretorius, who impressed in the Test series against Zimbabwe, has earned a place in the ODI squad—his first in the 50-over format.

Dewald Brevis has also been included in both squads, alongside Subrayen. However, Reeza Hendricks have been left out.

Maharaj left out of the T20I squad

Markram, Stubbs, Ryan Rickelton, Corbin Bosch, Nandre Burger, Lungi Ngidi, and Rabada have been selected for all six matches. Rassie van der Dussen, who captained South Africa in the recent tri-series, has been left out of the ODI squad but finds a place in the T20I lineup. Keshav Maharaj returns from injury for the ODI series but will sit out the T20Is, with George Linde selected in his place.

“It’s great to have our senior players back in the mix after their rest following the WTC Final,” said head coach Shukri Conrad. “Their experience and quality add real value to the group as we continue to build a strong core in both formats. Every series from here plays a part in shaping our squads for the T20 World Cup next year and the 2027 ODI World Cup at home.”

The white-ball tour begins with a three-match T20I series from August 10 to 16, followed by three ODIs from August 19 to 24.
