Following the sudden retirement of Tamim Iqbal, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has appointed Litton Das as the captain for the remaining matches of the ongoing ODI series against Afghanistan. The decision was confirmed by BCB President Nazmul Hassan on Friday, who also expressed his dissatisfaction with the manner in which Tamim announced his retirement from international cricket. Ashraf, backed by the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), will assume the responsibility of overseeing the PCB’s operations, subject to the approval of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who serves as the patron in chief of the PCB.
