The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has officially announced a 25-member preliminary squad for the upcoming Asia Cup 2025. The squad, led by Litton Das, features a mix of national team regulars and promising performers from the Bangladesh ‘A’ team setup.

In addition to the Asia Cup preparations, BCB also named a 15-man Bangladesh A squad for the Top End T20 Series 2025, scheduled to be held later this month in Darwin, Australia. Nurul Hasan Sohan, who is also part of the preliminary Asia Cup squad, will captain the ‘A’ side in the tournament.

Among the notable inclusions in the 25-member list are Khaled Ahmed, Mahidul Islam Bhuiyan Ankon, and Mohammed Saif Hassan. While these players haven’t been regulars in the T20 setup, their recent form in domestic cricket has earned them a place in the extended squad.

According to a BCB statement, “The available players will report for a fitness camp at the SBNCS in Mirpur on August 6. Skill training will commence from August 15 before the camp shifts to Sylhet on August 20.”

The final squad for the Asia Cup will be trimmed in the coming weeks, based on player performance, fitness levels, and overall form.

Bangladesh has been placed in Group B and will play all their group-stage matches at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. The campaign kicks off on September 11 against Hong Kong.
