BKC, Mumbai’s popular Ranji Trophy venue, gets top-class dressing rooms

The renovated dressing rooms at the MCA Sharad Pawar Indoor Cricket Academy and Recreation Centre, Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), were inaugurated by Mumbai Cricket Association president Ajinkya Naik on Wednesday. Former India captain Dilip Vengsarkar was present on the occasion, along with ex-India cricketer Pravin Amre and the MCA Apex Council members. Several current Mumbai Ranji Trophy players, including captain Shardul Thakur, Ajinkya Rahane and Sarfaraz Khan, also turned up.

The upgraded dressing rooms are aimed to enhance player comfort and readiness, reflecting MCA’s continued commitment to providing world-class infrastructure and facilities to its players. The venue will host Mumbai’s Ranji Trophy match against Chhattisgarh from Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, Naik said: “The objective of the Mumbai Cricket Association has always been to provide the best possible facilities and environment for our players. Our focus remains on nurturing talent and producing cricketers who can proudly represent Mumbai and the country at the highest level.”

The inauguration is part of the MCA’s ongoing efforts to support player development through improved infrastructure and professional resources, ensuring that Mumbai cricket continues its legacy of excellence.
