As of May 10

After a few days of intense cross-border tensions between India and Pakistan, owing to which the IPL had been suspended for a week. Sources have confirmed that there is a meeting likely to be held on Monday where all stakeholders are expected to be told about the exact date of resumption. The tournament is likely to be resume on the 17-18th of May.

Informally, preparations are already underway and foreign players who left for home are already being contacted to get them back for the final phase of the competition. With India and Pakistan agreeing on a ceasefire, it was only a matter if time before things got back on track. The suspension came right after a match had been called off at the Dharamshala stadium due to technical failure. As tensions kept rising between the two neighbouring countries, BCCI thought it fit to suspend the tournament for a week considering everyone’s safety.

Update 12th May

As reported earlier, BCCI has now officially announced the resumption of the IPL. The tournament will resume on the 17th of May, and the Punjab Kings versus Delhi Capitals match that was abandoned in Dharamshala will be replayed on the 24th of May. The games have been distributed between Bengaluru, Jaipur, Delhi, Lucknow, Mumbai and Ahmedabad. The Playoff venues will be announced later.
