In the ongoing first Ashes Test in Birmingham, English fast bowler Stuart Broad once again succeeded in dismissing Australian opener David Warner, marking the 15th time he has done so in Test cricket. Warner has consistently struggled against Broad, often finding himself unsettled by the bowler’s tactics. According to ESPNcricinfo, Warner has managed 397 runs off 734 balls at an average of 26.46 when facing Broad.

Remarkably, Broad has dismissed Warner nine times on English soil alone, limiting the veteran batter to a mere 158 runs off 329 balls at an average of 17.55. During the first session of Day 2, Warner emerged victorious in his first battle against Broad after England unexpectedly declared late on the opening day. However, on Day 2, Warner appeared hesitant against Broad’s wobble-seam. Bowling from around the wicket, Broad delivered a full-length ball that induced Warner to attempt a cover drive. Unfortunately for Warner, the ball took an inside edge, hitting his leg stump and prompting celebrations from Broad, while Warner was left bemoaning his misfortune.
