On Thursday, May 18, former BCCI chief selector Chetan Sharma took to Twitter to share a cryptic post, expressing his disappointment about the lack of support from his loved ones.
“Life has been very tough so far. No hope from your near & dear (ones). Hope Mata Rani (will) bless me…,” Chetan Sharma tweeted.
The ex-Indian cricketer found himself embroiled in a controversy, following a sting operation conducted by a private news channel. The operation uncovered startling revelations made by Sharma, including undisclosed secrets, his conversations with head coach Rahul Dravid, and insights into the removal of Virat Kohli as the ODI captain.
After Sharma’s resignation, the Chairman of the Selectors position is currently vacant. To fill this void, the BCCI has temporarily appointed Shiv Sunder Das as the interim chairman of the selection committee. However, a permanent successor to Sharma has not yet been officially announced by the BCCI.
