RCB have ended their 17-year wait for a win at CSK’s fortress. After their victory in 2008, RCB suffered eight consecutive defeats at this venue. Now, this marks only their second-ever win against CSK at Chepauk, making it a historic moment.
Perfect Start: Two Wins, RCB at the Top
RCB have begun their IPL 2025 campaign in dominant fashion, winning both of their opening matches. With four points and a healthy net run rate of +2.266, they currently sit at the top of the points table.
What makes this start even more impressive is that both wins have come in away fixtures—first against defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Kolkata and now against CSK in Chennai. They are yet to play at their home ground in Bengaluru.
