The last and third match of the ongoing three-match ODI series between England and the West Indies is currently underway at The Oval. However, the match faced a slight delay due to a surprising reason. The West Indies players were stuck in heavy traffic north of the river and, as a result, failed to reach the venue on time.
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) issued a statement: “Due to a delayed arrival of one of the playing teams, who are stuck in heavy traffic north of the river, the scheduled start of play will be delayed.”
Approximately 15 minutes later, the visitors were seen arriving at the ground and rushing to get ready for the match. Meanwhile, the ECB also shared a video on social media showing some England players arriving at The Oval on bicycles. The video quickly went viral, and fans were stunned by the unique approach taken by the England players.

England skipper Harry Brook won the toss and opted to bowl first. England have already sealed the series by winning the first two games and are now aiming for a clean sweep, while the Windies are hoping to secure a consolation win.
At the toss, Brook was asked about the incident involving his teammates arriving at the venue on bicycles. In response, the England skipper said: “We were on the bus for a while, then we all decided to get off and get on some lime bikes.”
