The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has revealed the squads for the upcoming white-ball series against the West Indies, set to begin on May 29 in Birmingham. This will mark Harry Brook’s debut series as England’s full-time white-ball captain, succeeding Jos Buttler.
Spinner Tom Hartley makes a return to the ODI setup, having last featured for England in September 2023.
Liam Livingstone has been omitted from both squads due to a prolonged dip in form with the bat over the past several months. Phil Salt also misses out on ODI selection after a disappointing Champions Trophy campaign. Meanwhile, Liam Dawson earns a T20I recall, having impressed with Hampshire during last summer.
Several players — including Will Jacks, Tom Banton, Jamie Overton, Saqib Mahmood, Jacob Bethell, Adil Rashid, and Matthew Potts — have been named in both formats.
Brydon Carse is also back in contention after missing both the one-off Test against Zimbabwe and the Champions Trophy.
Left-arm seamer Luke Wood returns to the T20I squad for the first time since September 2023.
Jofra Archer will feature exclusively in the ODI squad, alongside Hartley, Joe Root, Jamie Smith, and Gus Atkinson.
