England Women batters put on a strong show in the second match of the ongoing three-match ODI series against West Indies Women, scoring a massive 366/6 in 50 overs. The hosts came into this match after a 108-run win in the series opener and once again delivered a dominant performance.

Openers Tammy Beaumont and Amy Jones continued their excellent form from the first ODI. After a 222-run stand in the opening game, they stitched together another big partnership—this time, 202 runs for the first wicket.

Beaumont scored 106 runs off 109 balls with a strike rate of 97.24. Jones was even more aggressive, smashing 129 off 98 balls at a strike rate of 131.63. With these efforts, both batters now have back-to-back ODI centuries in this series.

“I love batting with her” – Tammy Beaumont on Amy Jones

All-rounder Emma Lamb played a quick cameo, scoring 55 off 45 balls at a strike rate of 122.22. Captain Nat Sciver-Brunt managed only 12 runs, but Sophia Dunkley added some late fireworks with 31 off just 19 balls, striking at 163.15.

At the mid-innings break, Beaumont spoke about the team’s effort and her partnership with Jones. She said: “A bit of a cold running through the team, I’ve got it at the moment. Felt horrendous out there but tried to bat for Amy. I love batting with her, so free-scoring and different strengths, taller than me, plays off the back foot. Had to deal with me acting like I had man-flu… she’s flying now in that position. We might have bowled first on that wicket but wanted to test ourselves. The odd ball seamed and this rain might make it zip more.”
