F1 Academy has announced an incredible initiative for female race drivers participating in the racing series. It has been revealed that F1 Academy’s new Champion is all set to receive a fully-funded seat with Rodin Motorsport, along with a 20 day testing program with the GB3 car. F1 Academy, an all women’s racing series, led by Susie Wolf has focused on giving young women and girls high-level opportunities and resources to female drivers. The announcement is another major step by the Academy to foster female talent in what is a male-dominated sport.

“At F1 Academy, we are striving to create opportunities for women to succeed at all levels of our sport, and a testament to that mission is our commitment to putting together the best possible package for our champions to move onwards and upwards,” – said Susie Wolff to (formula1.com)

What is GB3?

Established in 2013, the GB3 Championship is a platform for drivers to make the transition from the Formula 4 Championship. GB3 is traditionally male-dominated. Now, this opportunity represents a crucial area for women to cement their place as serious title contenders in racing.

“Over the past decade, there has quite rightly been a big shift in motorsport to recognise and encourage the participation of women. F1 Academy has been instrumental in that process, and Susie’s determination to provide women with unprecedented opportunities to develop and shine is tremendously exciting.” – Jonathan Palmer, ex-F1 driver and CEO of MotorSport Vision (MSV) (f1academy.com)

The 2025 series is set to be tougher than ever with the debut of the Tatuus MSV GB3-025 car. But it’s time for the F1 Academy Driver to step up and gain as much visibility as possible. When it comes to Rodin Motorsport, the team has been known for its commitment to nurturing young talent. The team offers the F1 Academy Winner a valuable chance to step into high-performance racing.

As part of our own commitment to increasing these opportunities, MSV has increased its prize package for the most successful female racer in the 2025 GB4 Championship to €50,000, which she can put towards a 2026 season in F1 ACADEMY,” said Palmer. (f1academy.com)

Current Standings – F1 Academy

Most likely to win the Rodin Motorsport seat is Abbi Pulling, who leads the racing series with 245 points. With a gap of almost a 100 points, she is trailed by Dorian Pinn who in turn has 150 points. Pulling is well-positioned to clinch the title, but with 7 rounds left in the season, a competitive end-of-season competition could spring surprises.
