FIFA has officially revealed the three mascots for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026™, each representing one of the host nations. Maple™ the Moose represents Canada, Zayu™ the Jaguar symbolizes Mexico, and Clutch™ the Bald Eagle embodies the United States. Developed to reflect the culture, heritage and spirit of their respective countries, the mascots also celebrate unity, diversity, and the shared passion for football.
“The 26 team has just got bigger – and more fun! Maple, Zayu and Clutch are full of joy, energy and the spirit of togetherness, just like the FIFA World Cup itself,” said FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
The mascots will not only feature across tournament venues and merchandise but also in digital formats. For the first time in FIFA history, they will be playable characters in FIFA Heroes, a new five-a-side arcade football game launching in 2026 on Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox. Developed by ENVER in partnership with Solace, the game allows players to create squads with past and present FIFA World Cup mascots, football legends, and popular fictional characters.
Maple the Moose, a street-style artist and music enthusiast, is a creative goalkeeper who travels across Canada, connecting with fans and embodying resilience and leadership. Zayu the Jaguar, from southern Mexico, reflects the country’s vibrant culture and heritage, excelling as a striker on the pitch while promoting Mexican tradition off it. Clutch the Bald Eagle, a fearless midfielder, represents the United States, inspiring teammates and fans with adventure, curiosity, and a passion for sport.
In addition to FIFA Heroes, the mascots will feature in FIFA Super League Soccer on Roblox, developed with Gamefam, which will include quests and themed rewards highlighting their roles on the pitch.
The FIFA World Cup 2026, featuring 48 teams for the first time, will be held from June 11 to July 19.
