Veteran pacer Hannah Rowe, opener Georgia Plimmer, and wicketkeeper-batter Izzy Gaze are among the 15-member New Zealand A squad selected for the upcoming white-ball tour of England, which begins on 23 June in Derby.

Of the 15 players, 11 have represented the senior New Zealand women’s team, including five who made their debuts earlier this year. The squad is set to play three ODIs and three T20 matches. The Women’s A series was reintroduced in New Zealand just last year.

Among the squad are the three most experienced international players: Rowe, with 107 internationals, will lead the bowling attack; Plimmer, with 67 caps, strengthens the top order; and Gaze, with 55 internationals, will provide stability behind the stumps.

Anna Browning, Amie Hucker, Emma Black, and Nensi Patel are in line to make their international debuts, having earned their maiden call-ups. The captain of the squad is yet to be confirmed and will be announced once the team arrives in England.

Liz Green Focuses on Building Future Depth

In a statement, New Zealand Cricket’s Head of Women’s High Performance, Liz Green, shared her enthusiasm about the upcoming tour and the opportunity it provides for emerging players.

“We’re really excited to be sending this group of talented players to England,” said Green. “They’ll get the chance to develop their game by facing strong opposition in unfamiliar conditions, while gaining a taste of international touring life. Creating high-quality playing opportunities is vital for building experience and depth. It’s also a chance for us to assess high-potential players and evaluate their readiness for senior international cricket.”
