Happy 4th Anniversary to RevSportz.

The writer feels privileged to be a part of the RevSportz family for the last two years, since September 2023. It has truly been a wonderful journey, filled with experiences, learning, and memories that will always stay close to the heart.

From football assignments to live shows, and from daily coverage to reporting at ICC Women’s Cricket World Cups, every moment has added to the writer’s journey. In the previous organisation, the dream was simple, to be at the ground, observe the game closely, understand it better, and then bring those stories to the viewers. The wish was to be more involved with the sport, to see what happens behind the scenes, and to understand what makes sport so powerful.

Two years ago, RevSportz made that dream real. A big thank you goes to Boria Majumdar sir, for the opportunities, trust, and constant support. The writer still remembers the first call from Boria sir, where he encouraged him to cover sports from the ground and interact with players and coaches.

His words were simple and motivating: “Join us, do well, build your connection, and you can also create those opportunities for yourself. We are there to support you.” Those words will always remain special.

Since then, the writer has covered two ICC Women’s World Cups, the 2024 T20 World Cup in the UAE, and the 2025 ODI World Cup across India and Sri Lanka, along with major football events including the ISL, AFC Champions League, FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, and many more. The writer has also interviewed several top players and coaches, especially from women’s cricket across the world. Watching the Indian women’s team lift the World Cup for the first time ever was a dream-come-true moment, history unfolding right in front of the eyes.

For someone who wished for such chances in 2022, living this journey today truly feels like a fairytale.

A heartfelt thanks also to Sharmistha Gooptu ma’am, who has been a guiding force from day one, always helping make daily work smoother. Another important name is Trisha Ghosal di, who has helped the writer grow, on the field and inside the office, with her clarity, support, and guidance. And of course, gratitude to Rohan Chowdhury, Rahul Giri, Arka Rudra da, Vaibhav Tripathi, Debasis Sen da, Subhayan Chakraborty, Shamik Chakrabarty da, Atreyo Mukhopadhyay da, and others, who have always helped whenever there was a doubt.

There is still a long way to go. A lot more learning awaits. But that is exactly what makes this journey meaningful, growing as an individual while growing with the organisation. Here’s to more learning, more growth, and many more moments with the RevSportz family.
