As per sources, Josh Hazlewood, the experienced Australian fast bowler, will link up with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru squad this weekend ahead of the 2025 IPL playoffs. The pace bowler is currently training at the Centre of Excellence in Brisbane.
Hazlewood, who has taken 18 wickets in the ongoing IPL, has been laid low by a shoulder niggle in the last couple of weeks. He also had to return to Australia after the IPL was called off for a few days due to India-Pakistan border tensions. The league resumed on May 17 with RCB locking horns against KKR. Unfortunately, that game was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to persistent rain.
After having played 12 games, RCB are placed second on the points table with 17 points. And by the looks of it, Hazlewood could join RCB’s squad ahead of their final league fixture against Lucknow Super Giants in Lucknow on May 27.
