Australian cricketer Heather Graham will miss the upcoming three-game ODI series against Ireland as a result of a calf strain. In her absence, Tess Flintoff, an uncapped allrounder from Victoria, has been selected to join the ODI squad.

Graham was recently included in the Australian squad for the ODI leg of the Ashes and had stayed on for the ongoing tour of Ireland. She had initially stepped in as a replacement for Megan Schutt, who had returned home following the multi-format tour of England. However, Graham’s unfortunate injury to her right calf occurred towards the end of the Ashes, which means she will have to forgo the opportunity to participate in her first ODI match since 2019.

“Graham will remain with the Australian team in Ireland to commence her rehabilitation before returning to Australia to continue this with Cricket Tasmania,” Cricket Australia said in an official statement.
