The Indian Premier League match between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on May 13 was briefly halted because of an incident involving the crowd and the Lucknow dug-out.
Poor from Hyderabad crowd should have limit themselves to Kohli Kohli chants, throwing nuts and bolts on lsg dugout was completely unnecessary. #SRHvLSGpic.twitter.com/m3bXBXFv8d

The heightened tension was caused by a controversial no-ball call in the 19th over of the Hyderabad innings. Avesh Khan’s fourth ball was a high full-toss to Abdul Samad, which angered Heinrich Klaasen at the non-striker’s end. The on-field umpires judged it a no-ball, but Lucknow then opted to review the decision.
Mystifyingly, the third umpire ruled that it was a legal delivery. This angered the home fans, and an object was subsequently thrown at the Lucknow dug-out. The umpires, players, and coaching staff came to the boundary line to sort out the situation. At this point, the Hyderabad fans started a ‘Kohli, Kohli’ chant, aimed at riling Gautam Gambhir, the Super Giants’ mentor who has had a couple of well-documented run-ins with Virat Kohli.
