Overview
Sunrisers Hyderabad go into their Indian Premier League (IPL) game against Lucknow Super Giants on the back of two wins in their last three outings, a sequence of results that has just about kept their season alive. Abdul Samad’s dramatic last-ball six sealed a 215-run chase against Rajasthan Royals, but the bowling attack has been struggling to take wickets consistently. Their batting in the powerplay has also not been up to the mark.
Mayank Agarwal and Harry Brook have not performed as expected, and with Rahul Tripathi’s return to form and Anmolpreet Singh’s consistent scores, it is unlikely that they will make it back to the playing XI. Meanwhile, Lucknow have struggled since KL Rahul, their captain, was ruled out of the tournament with an injury. With just one win from their last five matches, they have slipped out of the play-off spots.

Although Lucknow have won both their previous clashes against Hyderabad, their narrow loss to Gujarat Titans seems to have affected their morale. On the other hand, Hyderabad have been really poor on their home ground at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, losing four out of their five games there this season.

Weather conditions and toss
It is going to be an extremely hot afternoon in Hyderabad with temperatures hovering above 40C. With the heat having an impact on the players, the team winning the toss could opt to bat first and defend a total as the pitch slows down.
Likely Playing XIs and Impact Player
Vivrant Sharma could continue in his role as an Impact Player for Hyderabad, whereas Amit Mishra looks like a regular Impact option for Lucknow.
