“From a young boy with dreams in his eyes to a legend who conquered the red-ball arena — your journey has been nothing short of extraordinary, Virat. Watching you grow, fight, lead, and inspire has been the greatest joy of my life. You redefined passion and dedication. Test cricket will miss your fire, but your legacy will live forever. Grateful for every moment shared in this incredible journey. I am proud of you @virat.kohli,” his post read.

“Emotionally it hurts that we won’t be seeing him (Virat Kohli) in whites again” – Rajkumar Sharma
He was also seen having an interaction with ANI, saying: “Well, I must salute him for his tremendous contribution to Indian cricket and as a coach I am really proud of him, what he has done for the country and what example he has set for the youngsters, you know.”
“But emotionally it hurts that we won’t be seeing him in whites again for the country but I really appreciate and back his decision fully. Definitely, that was unfortunate that we lost in the finals but yes, hopefully this time we’ll be there to win the World Cup for India and he’ll be 100% committed to it,” he concluded.
