Former Indian pacer S. Sreesanth has finally broken his silence after reports surfaced that the Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) had imposed a three-year ban on him. In a strong and emotional response, Sreesanth stated that he had not received any official notice or communication from the KCA, and he questioned the motive behind such a move.

“I have not received any notice or order from the KCA; we have only heard it from the media. I don’t know yet on what grounds or reasons the action is being taken. I was only backing a state cricketer. Once we see the notice, we will explore our options,” Sreesanth told ANI.

The controversy stems from Sreesanth publicly supporting Sanju Samson’s father, Samson Vishwanath, who recently accused the KCA of unfair treatment towards his son, citing political manipulation within the association.

Sreesanth seems to believe the decision is rooted in personal grudges and politics, calling it both unfair and ego-driven

Sreesanth’s reaction did not stop at his media statement. In one of his Instagram stories, a sharp message was posted that read: “Some cricket associations really deserve a standing ovation – not for cricket, but for mastering drama, ego management, and historical digging. Talent development? Optional. But if you say something they don’t like – boom! Suspension, defamation, and a press release longer than their trophy list. At this rate, maybe they should start an acting academy instead. Next big export: Cricket politics meets daily soap.”

Sreesanth endorsed the message, making his frustration with the KCA evident. According to reports, the KCA has also initiated legal action against Samson Vishwanath for alleged defamation and subsequently imposed a three-year ban on Sreesanth. However, Sreesanth seems to believe the decision is rooted in personal grudges and politics, calling it both unfair and ego-driven.
