Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf has been handed a two-match suspension by the ICC, confirmed on Tuesday, after a series of disciplinary hearings stemming from clashes during the Asia Cup 2025.

According to an ICC release, Rauf was investigated for his altercations and gestures during the two India–Pakistan matches in the Asia Cup 2025. He was found guilty on two occasions, resulting in four demerit points. As a consequence, the fast bowler has been ruled out of the first two ODIs against South Africa.

“Rauf’s total of four demerit points within a 24-month period has resulted in two suspension points under the ICC’s disciplinary framework. In accordance with the Code, Rauf is therefore suspended for Pakistan’s ODI games against South Africa on 4 and 6 November 2025,” the ICC said in a statement.

Along with Rauf, Sahibzada Farhan was also fined 30 per cent of his match fee and handed one demerit point by the ICC. The Pakistan opener was penalised for celebrating his half-century against India with a provocative gesture.

Suryakumar Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah were also found to have breached the ICC Code of Conduct. The India T20I captain was found guilty of a breach of Article 2.21 and was fined 30 per cent of his match fee, receiving two demerit points. Bumrah was also handed one demerit point after being charged under Article 2.21.

Meanwhile, Arshdeep Singh was cleared of an alleged breach of Article 2.6, which relates to the use of obscene, offensive, or insulting gestures, and no sanction was imposed.
