The ICC is yet to finalise the Champions Trophy trophy tour, RevSportz understands. This is notwithstanding the list of the places the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced with regards to the trophy tour.

Sources confirmed that the ICC is still in discussions on the final plan of the trophy tour. Once confirmed, the tour schedule will be announced via the ICC channels.

The PCB, however, is seemingly in the process of getting ahead of itself. On Friday, it put out a post on X (formerly Twitter), saying: “Get ready, Pakistan!” It added: “The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 trophy tour kicks off in Islamabad on 16 November, also visiting scenic travel destinations like Skardu, Murree, Hunza and Muzaffarabad. Catch a glimpse of the trophy which Sarfaraz Ahmed lifted in 2017 at The Oval, from 16-24 November.”

Some of the places named are part of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). There’s no chance that those regions would be incorporated into the trophy tour list.

The BCCI has officially communicated to the ICC that it will not send the Indian team to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy, to be played in February-March next year, as it hasn’t received the Indian government’s approval. In its letter, the BCCI has requested that India’s matches be allocated to Dubai instead. So far, the PCB has refused to accept a hybrid model. In fact, it has written a letter to the global body, seeking clarity over India’s refusal to travel to Pakistan.
