West Indies cricketers Nicholas Pooran and Kieron Pollard will once again play together. This time, they will represent MI Emirates in the upcoming season of the International League T20 (ILT20) in the UAE. The two power-hitters have been named as MI Emirates’ wildcard picks.
Together, they have already won the Caribbean Premier League with the Trinbago Knight Riders and Major League Cricket with MI New York earlier this year.
Pooran, who announced a shock retirement from international cricket at the age of 29, is one of the most sought-after players in franchise leagues around the world. The dynamic left-handed batter also played for MI Cape Town in the SA20, which takes place around the same time as the ILT20. Although in the twilight of his career, Pollard showed in the CPL 2025 that he is still a match-winner in T20 cricket.
Apart from Pooran and Pollard, the other Caribbean players in the MI Emirates squad are Andre Fletcher, who was the most expensive player at the first ILT20 auction, Ackeem Auguste, and Romario Shepherd.
The fourth season of the ILT20 will begin on 2 December in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah. Six teams will compete across 34 matches.
