
Australia A defeated India A by nine wickets with 50 balls to spare in the rain-curtailed second unofficial ODI, levelling the three-match series 1–1. Mackenzie Harvey was named Player of the Match for his unbeaten 70 off 49 balls.
Abhishek Sharma, the highest run-scorer in the recently concluded Asia Cup 2025, failed to open his account in this match. Prabhsimran Singh also fell cheaply, scoring just one. At one point, India A were struggling at 17 for 3 after losing their captain Shreyas Iyer, who made 8.
India’s hero in the Asia Cup final, Tilak Varma, then stitched together a 101-run partnership with Riyan Parag to stabilise the innings. Tilak scored a brilliant 94, including five fours and four sixes. Parag also played well for his 58, which featured six fours and a six. Apart from these two, none of the other batters made a significant contribution. For Australia A, captain Jack Edwards took four wickets, including the key scalps of Abhishek, Tilak, and Shreyas. India A were bowled out for 246.
The target was revised to 160 in 25 overs under the DLS method. Australia A openers Mackenzie Harvey and Jake Fraser-McGurk gave them a strong start, adding 57 runs off 41 balls. Cooper Connolly then joined Harvey to put on an unbeaten 103-run stand, ensuring Australia A reached the target comfortably. Harvey played an aggressive innings, remaining not out on 70 off 49 balls, with 10 fours and two sixes.
None of the India A bowlers delivered a notable performance. Arshdeep Singh conceded 44 runs in his four-over spell.
