India lost the second unofficial Test in Bengaluru, with South Africa winning by five wickets. With this result, the two-match series ended in a 1-1 draw. India lost it mainly because the bowlers failed to build the pressure on the South Africa batters in the final innings.

India scored 255 in the first innings and 382/7  in the second, which gave them a strong standing in the game. But South Africa showed composure and built important partnerships. In their first innings, South Africa scored 221 runs, with captain Marques Ackerman playing a brilliant knock of 134 runs. In that innings, Prasidh Krishna bowled well and picked  up three wickets, while Mohammed Siraj and Akash Deep supported him with two wickets each.

The real difference came during the second innings where South Africa batted with confidence. Jordan Hermann scored 91 runs, Lesego Senokwane and Zubayr Hamza both scored 77 runs respectively which kept the scoreboard ticking. Temba Bavuma added a valuable 59 runs along with Connor Esterhuizen, who in turn scored an unbeaten 52 runs in the end.

Indian bowlers struggled throughout the second innings. Siraj bowled with control, and picked up one wicket. Prasidh was again the pick of the bowlers as he took two wickets. Akash Deep and Harsh Dubey also took one wicket, but they were expensive as Akash conceded 106 runs in 22 overs and Dubey went for 111 runs in 25 overs. Meanwhile, Kuldeep Yadav bowled 17 overs but failed to take a wicket.
