The Indian Mixed Disability cricket team faced its second consecutive defeat in the ongoing Vitality IT20 series, going down to England by 60 runs at Wormsley Cricket Club on Monday. The result mirrored the opening game, which India had lost by the same margin.

Opting to bat, the England team posted a formidable 182 for 2 in their allotted 20 overs. Once again, it was exactly the same they had made in the series opener. In response, India could only manage 122 for 9 from their 20 overs, with Narendra Mangore top-scoring with a brisk 36 off 22 balls.

All eyes now turn to a historic moment on Wednesday (June 25), when the third match will be played at the iconic Lord’s. It will mark the first-ever appearance there for both of these Mixed Disability teams. Coincidentally, June 25 also marks the anniversary of India’s historic 1983 World Cup triumph at the same venue.

Brief scores:

England 182/2 in 20 overs. India 122/9 in 20 overs (Narendra Mangore 36). England won by 60 runs.
