India U-19 Take 1-0 Lead After Dominant Win Against Australia U-19

The India U-19 team defeated the Australia U-19 side by an innings and 58 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the two-match youth Test series in Brisbane.

India U-19 restricted the Aussies to 243 in the first innings, thanks to some brilliant bowling from Kishan Kumar and Deepesh Devendran. Devendran finished with figures of 5 for 45 in 16.2 overs, while Kishan claimed 3 for 48 in his 16 overs. Steven Hogan was the top scorer for Australia, making 92 runs.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who made headlines during the IPL, played an aggressive innings, scoring 113 off just 86 balls, including nine fours and eight sixes. His 152-run partnership with Vedant Trivedi was instrumental in taking India to a commanding total of 428. Vedant was the top scorer for the young Indian side, making 140 off 192 balls, including 19 fours. For Australia U-19, Hayden Schiller and Will Malajczuk took three wickets apiece.

In the second innings, the Indian bowlers once again excelled. None of the Australian batters were able to make a significant score. Devendran followed up his first-innings heroics with another three-wicket haul, while Khilan Patel also took three wickets. Aryan Sharma was the top scorer for Australia U-19, contributing 43 runs.

The Ayush Mhatre-led team were dominant in the ODI series as well, having whitewashed the Australia U-19 side 3–0.
