Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly shared his views on the intense rivalry between India and Pakistan in the lead-up to the 2023 ODI World Cup. Ganguly observed that India have taken the upper hand over Pakistan, except for their defeat in the 2021 T20 World Cup. He also highlighted the thrilling encounters between India and Australia as a spectacle for the audience.
The much-anticipated clash between India and Pakistan will take place on October 15 at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium in the 50-over World Cup, adding to the high stakes of the match.
“There is a lot of hype in this match (India vs Pakistan) but the quality has not been that good for a long time because India kept on winning one-sided. Pakistan probably defeated India for the first time in the T20 World Cup in Dubai. India did not play well in that tournament but according to me, India versus Australia tends to be a better game in the World Cup because the quality is better,” Sourav Ganguly told Star Sports.
