
Ahead of the ICC Men’s Under-19 ODI World Cup 2026, India will play a three-match Youth ODI series against South Africa. All three matches will be played at Willowmoore Park in Benoni, with the first scheduled for Saturday (3 January). With captain Ayush Mhatre and Vihaan Malhotra recovering from their respective injuries, teenage sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi has been entrusted with the responsibility of leading the team. Aaron George will be his deputy.
The series against South Africa will be followed by the mega tournament, which begins on 15 January. A total of 16 teams will take part, divided into four groups. The group stage will be followed by the Super Six stage, after which the semi-finals and final will be played. India, who have won the tournament five times, have been placed in the same group as the USA, New Zealand and Bangladesh.
