All-rounder Nitish Reddy suffered a side strain during a practice session on January 24 in Chennai and has been ruled out of the ongoing 5-match T20I series. He will undergo further treatment at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru.
Meanwhile, Rinku Singh sustained a low back spasm while fielding in the first T20I against England on January 22. Although he is recovering well under the supervision of the BCCI medical team, he has been ruled out of the second and third matches of the series.
In response, the Senior Selection Committee has added Shivam Dube and Ramandeep Singh to the squad.
