Punjab Kings (PBKS) have confirmed that their star Kiwi pacer, Lockie Ferguson, is set to miss the remainder of IPL 2025 due to an injury he suffered in their last match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). So, here are three potential players who can be good replacements for Ferguson for the remainder of IPL 2025 for PBKS.

Here are the three players who can replace Lockie Ferguson in PBKS for the remainder of IPL 2025:

Jason Behrendorff

This Aussie left-arm pacer can be a good option as he has played in the IPL earlier. Having made his IPL debut in 2019, he has played 17 matches so far and has taken 19 wickets. Behrendorff was a part of Mumbai Indians (MI) in IPL 2024. But unfortunately, he missed the entire tournament after breaking his leg at training. Recently, he was in action for the Pretoria Capitals in the SA20 tournament, where he picked up one wicket in two games.

Umesh Yadav

With experience in 148 IPL matches, Umesh Yadav, the veteran Indian pacer, could be the best possible option for PBKS right now. He has 144 wickets to his name and has played for teams like Delhi Daredevils (DD), Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), and Gujarat Titans (GT). In the last season, he played for GT and took eight wickets in seven games.

Mustafizur Rahman

This is another left-arm bowling option for PBKS, as Mustafizur Rahman, the Bangladeshi pacer, is well known in the shortest format of the game. He went unsold in the IPL 2025 auction and also failed to get any team in the PSL 10 draft. Last season, he was a part of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). In 57 IPL matches, he has 61 wickets to his name. Apart from CSK, he has played for SRH, Rajasthan Royals (RR), MI, and Delhi Capitals (DC) in this competition.
