In a thrilling IPL 2025 Eliminator, Mumbai Indians (MI) edged out Gujarat Titans (GT) to enter Qualifier 2, where they will face Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Narendra Modi Stadium on June 1. Defending a strong total of 228/5, MI put in a collective effort with both bat and ball, restricting GT to 208/6 in 20 overs. GT’s IPL campaign came to a heartbreaking end despite a strong performance throughout the season, while MI, who started the season with several blunders, now have one more game to win to qualify for the final.

Orange Cap

GT’s Sai Sudharsan continues to dominate the Orange Cap leaderboard after his impressive 80 runs off 49 balls in the Eliminator, finishing his IPL 2025 campaign with 759 runs in 15 matches. MI’s consistent Suryakumar Yadav has moved to second place with 673 runs in 15 matches and still has a chance to claim the top spot as he will play in Qualifier 2. The third spot is held by GT skipper Shubman Gill with 650 runs, followed by LSG’s Mitchell Marsh with 627 runs. RCB’s heartbeat, Virat Kohli, is in fifth position with 614 runs and will be in action once again in the final of IPL 2025.
