The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) lost by eight wickets yesterday against the Delhi Capitals (DC) in the ongoing IPL 2025. Mukesh Kumar’s 4/33 restricted LSG to 159/6 in 20 overs. While chasing, DC batters finished off in style, with Abishek Porel and KL Rahul scoring fifties. LSG failed to win in front of the home crowd despite Aiden Markram’s all-round brilliance.

Gujarat Titans (GT) and DC are up there in the two top spots with 12 points each. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Punjab Kings (PBKS) and LSG are next in line with five wins and 10 points each. Mumbai Indians (MI), regaining their form with three consecutive wins, are currently at the sixth spot with eight points, followed by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the seventh position with six points. Rajasthan Royals (RR), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) remain in the bottom three with four points and two wins each.
IPL 2025 – Orange Cap List
GT’s Sai Sudharsan is leading the race for the orange cap with 417 runs made so far this season. LSG’s Nicholas Pooran, yesterday, added just nine runs, and is in the second spot with 377 runs. GT’s Jos Buttler takes the third spot with 356 runs. LSG’s Mitchell Marsh, with his yesterday’s 45 runs off 36 balls yesterday, is now at the fourth spot with 344 runs. MI’s Suryakumar Yadav with 333 runs is next in the fifth position.

GT’s Prasidh Krishna continues to lead at number one with 16 wickets in eight games. Six bowlers are next in line with 12 wickets each – GT’s R Sai Kishore, CSK’s Noor Ahmed, DC’s Kuldeep Yadav, RCB’s Josh Hazelwood, GT’s Mohammed Siraj and LSG’s Shardul Thakur.
