
The Lucknow Super Giants’ (LSG) hopes to qualify for the playoffs in the IPL 2025 were crushed after being defeated by the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) yesterday, 19 May. SRH batters easily chased down the target score of 205 with just four wickets down. Abhishek Sharma’s match-winning 59 runs off 20 balls earned him the Player of the Match award. While LSG remain unchanged, SRH now have nine points in the points table.
IPL 2025 Points Table
The Gujarat Titans (GT) hold the lead with 18 points currently. Behind them are the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) with 17 points each. With 14 points, it’s the Mumbai Indians (MI) at number four.
However, Delhi Capitals (DC) are not far behind MI with 13 points, sitting in the fifth spot. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are out of the playoffs. They are in the sixth spot with 12 points. LSG are next with 10 points, followed by Rajasthan Royals (RR), SRH, and Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

GT’s Sai Sudharsan is at the top of the table with 617 runs. Following him is GT’s skipper Shubman Gill with 601 runs, taking the second spot. The third spot is claimed by RR’s opener Yashasvi Jaiswal with a total of 523 runs. MI’s Suryakumar Yadav is in the fourth spot with 510 runs, followed by RCB’s Virat Kohli next in the fifth spot with 505 runs.

IPL 2025 – Purple Cap List
GT’s Prasidh Krishna is leading with 21 wickets. CSK’s Noor Ahmad is not far behind in the second spot with 20 wickets. RCB’s Josh Hazlewood, who is now out of the IPL 2025 race, remains in the third spot with 18 wickets, joined by MI’s Trent Boult in the fourth spot, also with 18 wickets. KKR’s spinner Varun Chakravarthy is in the top five with 17 wickets, remaining in the fifth spot.
