Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) registered a historic win over Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Wankhede Stadium, beating them there for the first time since 2015. With this win, RCB have now won three of their four matches. Meanwhile, MI continue to struggle, sitting in eighth place with just one win from five games.
IPL 2025: Points Table
Delhi Capitals (DC), Gujarat Titans (GT), and RCB currently lead the points table with six points each. All three teams have shown good form early in the season.
Next in line are Punjab Kings (PBKS), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), and Rajasthan Royals (RR). All four teams have four points each and are right in the middle of the playoff race.
At the bottom of the table are MI, Chennai Super Kings (CSK), and last year’s runners-up Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). All three have just one win and two points each so far.
Later today, CSK will get a chance to move up the table when they face an in-form PBKS side in Mullanpur. In the afternoon clash, KKR and LSG will battle in Kolkata. Both will be looking to strengthen their position in the race for the playoffs.
IPL 2025: Orange Cap List
Nicholas Pooran from LSG continues to lead the race for the Orange Cap. He has scored 201 runs in four matches at an average of 50.25 and an impressive strike rate of 218.47.
Close behind him is MI’s Suryakumar Yadav with 199 runs in five matches. GT’s Sai Sudharsan is also not far off, with 191 runs in four matches. All three have been consistent performers for their teams.
Pooran will be in action again today when LSG take on KKR. Fans will be keen to see how many more runs he can add to his tally.
IPL 2025: Purple Cap List
Two players are tied at the top of the Purple Cap list — CSK’s Noor Ahmad and MI’s Hardik Pandya. Both have taken 10 wickets so far. However, Noor holds the top spot thanks to a better bowling average and economy rate.
DC’s Mitchell Starc and GT’s Mohammed Siraj follow closely with nine wickets each. With several matches still to go today, these rankings could change quickly.
