Sunrisers Hyderabad played the perfect party spoilers as they beat Royal Challengers Bengaluru in a one-sided affair by 42 runs. With that loss, RCB’s hopes of securing the top spot in the points table have taken a major blow, while SRH are trying to build momentum to carry forward into next year after being eliminated from the playoffs race.

IPL 2025 Points Table

The Gujarat Titans (GT), continuing their dominance like in their first two seasons, currently lead the table with 18 points. Following them are two teams aiming to win their first IPL trophy—RCB in second place and Punjab Kings (PBKS) in third—both with 17 points. Mumbai Indians (MI), with 16 points, occupy the fourth spot, becoming the final team to qualify for the top four.

The Delhi Capitals (DC), who were in contention, are now in fifth place with 13 points, followed by Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in sixth with 12 points. Former champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) sit seventh, also with 12 points. Their chances of qualifying for the playoffs ended when their last match against RCB was suspended due to rain. SRH, with consecutive wins, are in eighth with 11 points, followed by Rajasthan Royals (RR) in ninth, and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the bottom of the table.
